We'll focus on refining your understanding of asana (postures), working with the idea of progressively building the shapes from week one to week two. Gain a deeper awareness of your personal alignment and feel empowered to embody each pose with grace and strength.

Early bird sign-ups will be invited to request specific postures. Join us as we explore the expansiveness of asana.

EACH BREATH, EACH MOVEMENT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIND BALANCE

I took my first class in 2003 and quickly found, in the busyness of life, a challenging practice of coming home to myself. Over the years yoga has invited me to come back to the present moment, breathe through tension and grief, increase mobility and flexibility, and build strength. After many years of classes, workshops, and trainings, I began teaching in 2019. 

My teaching is influenced and informed by many lineages and modalities including Vinyasa, Flow, Vinyasa Krama, Hatha, Restorative, Iyengar, Anusara, Movement Method, Mindfulness, and Pranayama. My classes are creative and intentional. Each breath, each movement is an opportunity to find balance – between strength and softness, form and function, rigidity and fluidity. I am passionate about daily movement on and off the mat and sharing yoga in community is my favorite way to explore the ways we can move through the world.

What can people expect? A lighthearted, thoughtful and dynamic exploration of shapes and breath guided by music to fuel your movement.

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION POLICY

Maa Yoga & Wellness Studio does not offer refunds for any reason. Credit will only be granted 48 hours before the workshop; no credit will be granted above and beyond this amount of time. We will offer a credit, less a late cancellation fee, on your account that may be used for another workshop or we will gladly transfer your credit to another guest attending a workshop. In situations where there is an injury or illness, refunds may be granted with a valid doctor’s note, and will be handled case by case. Please email us at info@maayoga.com

If you reserve a spot and don’t show up without cancelling your reservation for the scheduled workshop, you will be charged for the workshop. 

If you have an emergency within an hour of your scheduled workshop, then call us at 604-983-6229 to cancel. Please note that this is for emergencies only. A credit will be applied to your account.

It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation.
